At Animal Clinic of Woodruff, our veterinarians, vet techs and staff members work here because they love serving pets and people. Vet work is a job you choose because you love it. Today’s spotlight employee, Janice Tuck, is a great example of this passion.
Janice is a Woodruff native who graduated from Dorman High School and then attended Spartanburg Community College for her degree in nursing. She was a certified nursing assistant (CNA) for two years before transitioning to the insurance and billing side of the medical field. After 10 years of processing paperwork, Janice followed her heart to begin caring for animals and people. She’s been with Animal Clinic of Woodruff as a receptionist since 2011.
Janice is married to John “Frosty” Tuck, and they have a son, John Jr., who is 6 years old. John Jr. keeps Janice busy with his love of sports, including baseball, golf, football and basketball.
Their house is also busy with pets, including two cats, Lucky and CJ, and Apollo the dog. Apollo’s love of chewing inappropriate things has already resulted in a surgery after he ate a pair of socks. Other pets in the household are Brutus, the beta fish; Thor and Oden, the platy fish; and Bob, the hermit crab.
Janice enjoys spending time with her son, husband, and father. When not chasing after her ever-busy son or dog, you can find Janice tending her flower beds at their home in Woodruff.
