This blog kicks off our new series that shines the spotlight on our employees’ beloved pets. While many businesses like to showcase their employees (as we’ve proudly done for our staff), at Animal Clinic of Woodruff, we feel like our pets are just as much a part of our clinic family. So in this series, we’re excited to share our love of our furry family members with you.
Our first Employee Pet Spotlight is on Roman, Karen’s 9-year-old Labrador. Karen rescued him 7 years ago. When Roman first joined Karen’s home, he was heartworm positive, extremely underweight, and clearly had not been taken care of. Karen, Mike and their daughter Lilly brought Roman home and loved him back to health.
Roman is now heartworm free and is healthy and happy. He enjoys sleeping on the couch and staying warm on cold days. But on the weekends, you can find him at their family cabin on Lake Greenwood riding on the boat, swimming, and playing fetch in the water. He always wears his personal flotation device (PFD) to stay safe.
Roman is a frequent visitor at Animal Clinic of Woodruff. Everyone who sees him can’t help but to pet him and enjoy his friendly personality. We love having Roman as part of the ACW pet family.
